Heimstaden support thanks:

A big thank you to Heimstaden for their support in bringing our project, 100 Portraits of Copenhagen’s Power Women, to life. Heimstaden is more than a housing company – they work to make communities better, just like we want to do with our project.

Shared goals for a better world

Heimstaden supports the UN Global Compact, which is about making the world a better and fairer place. Our project is also inspired by the UN Sustainable Development Goal 5 gender equality. But it’s not just about empowering women; we want to empower everyone and get people talking about what ‘Power’ really means today.

Community Matters

Heimstaden focuses on building strong and safe neighborhoods. In the same way, our project encourages people to have open conversations that challenge the usual ways we think about power and community.

Values We Share: Caring, innovation and being genuine

Heimstaden and our project value care, innovation and authenticity. These are not just nice words; they guide us in making a lasting difference in people’s lives.

Looking ahead

Heimstaden’s support has been a great booster to get our project off the ground. We are excited that this is just the beginning and look forward to possible future collaborations to make an even bigger difference.

Thank you, Heimstaden, for standing with us in this important work. Your support has given our project the boost it needed. We hope that together we can continue this journey towards a more understanding and empowered future for all.

Why is a man supporting the Danish socio-artistic photo initiative ‘100 Power Portraits’, who invented EASA certified battery aircraft systems and designed and flew the first piloted hydrogen airplane?

“We need more women in engineering! Help to make the world a better place. No quotas – make it about you!” is Axel Lange’s appeal for more sustainability in Europe.

Lange Aviation is a pioneer in electric aviation. The company has been developing complete propulsion and control systems for battery-powered aircraft since 1999 – long before the hype about electric mobility and energy transition.

In 2006, Lange Aviation received the first EASA certification ever issued for an electric propulsion system. The EA42 is the only one of its kind in the world and has proven itself in over 165,000 flight hours on 5 continents and in 20 countries. Founder and inventor Dipl.-Ing. Axel Lange decided at that time to let his company grow organically from the sale of EASA-certified electrically powered self-launchers. He has received several prestigious awards for his life’s work.

Lange Aviation’s EASA certified electrification modules can be used in single and twin engine aircraft up to 7.8 tons. Lange Aviation increases investment security and shortens research, testing and certification times for new developments in the context of the energy transition. Regional commuter, cabin, cargo and passenger aircraft can take off with technology from Lange Aviation. The German engineering company also enables conversions to battery power, e.g. for training aircraft and small aircraft that currently fly with piston or turboprop engines.

We would be very happy if the “100 Portraits” exhibition, so inspiringly designed by socio-artist Molly Marina, brings us into contact with talents, innovators and investors. For a better future!
