Molly’s approach to socio-art draws on her background in social work and her photographic practice. 100Portraits brings those ways of seeing together: the individual is always part of a wider social world.

The project’s visual language is deliberate. Directional light, sharp shadows and a dark background give each portrait a dramatic presence. The accompanying words, symbols and music invite us to question what that presence means.
