To me, being a power woman is about believing in yourself and being good at leading yourself and resting in yourself. This is something I strive for myself, and I hope that through my contribution here I can inspire other women to believe in their own ‘power’ and stop chasing the perfect woman. I find that many women spend far too much mental energy worrying about whether they are successful and good enough in the eyes of others. This stops them from reaching their potential and achieving their dreams. In this way, perfectionism becomes the greatest enemy of progress. A power woman embraces her own voice and approach, speaks her mind and builds herself up over time by learning from mistakes and celebrating victories, no matter how small. It takes courage and energy to become a power woman, which is why it’s important to find balance in your life. Prioritize your own health and accept that your home is not Instagram-ready every day. Practice avoiding overtime and tasks that are outside your area of responsibility. And practice not worrying about things you can’t do anything about. This is essential to maintain your energy and passion in the long term. And surround yourself with people who support your goals and dreams, and don’t be afraid to ask for help or advice. The journey to becoming a power woman is a lifelong pursuit. I read this text through about 117 times because I had doubts about whether it was good enough. Nobody is perfect.
