Power for me is taking responsibility. It’s true for women and it’s true for men. I took responsibility 10 years ago when I took courage and jumped off the ten-metre diving platform. I went from a life as a salaried employee and manager in the media industry to a life as a self-employed person. It was a life-changing decision. I haven’t looked back since. When you take responsibility in a changing world, you often find yourself in uncharted territory. It’s like that for all of us! In my company, we have a motto for these situations where we say: Invent something! This means facing the new situation with a colleague. With “Think of something”, the sky is the limit and possibility thinking is paramount. When the solution materializes for us – we act. Acting is courageous – and it’s taking responsibility.
