Four ways of seeing. Choose your perspective.
“Live by the 3 Gs: do Good deeds; Go out; Giggle a lot. It brings strength within and radiates outward.”
Let the image shift. Stay with the words. What changes in your reading?
In a world focused on power and status, our actions become self-serving. Power is a creator of loneliness. Power is conflict. I work to cultivate strength in myself and help others build theirs. As a mother, wife and friend, I want to contribute with strength to use my own abilities, to dare and to community. As a leader and business owner, I want to contribute with strength to the collegiality and professionalism. With strength, we are able to be constructive, supportive and willing to change. With strength, we are never afraid to lose, always interested in creating. With strength, we can lift those around us. Inspire, help, educate, encourage, challenge. True power is the ability to bypass power and build strength. Use your power to create what’s important to you, but especially to help build what’s important to others. When I put in the effort and remember my 3G rule of life, I can find the strength to do good. Whether it’s professional or human. When I go out – out into the city, out into nature or just out on my bike, I feel happy. Outside is good, outside is perspective, outside in nature is focus. And then the laughter. It’s an important part of having and nurturing the strength I want to have. Laughter is a huge ‘let it go’ button, laughter is joy and laughter is a weapon against raw power.
