Four ways of seeing. Choose your perspective.
“Let life surprise you–say yes and bring it on.”
Let the image shift. Stay with the words. What changes in your reading?
I’m convinced that when it comes to having the best life you can have, it’s a mix of seeking out luck and daring to take the opportunities that come your way. We only get one ride on the merry-go-round of life, so why not give it a try? I think anything is possible if you include yourself in the choices you make. For me, it’s not about having a plan and then following it from a-z. It’s about doing your best surrounded by good and talented people who respect me and what I stand for. This makes both work and life much more fun and rewarding. This was also the case when I became World Champion in rowing when I was young. We were total underdogs and surprised everyone by winning – including ourselves. Doing something with passion, driven by curiosity about how others see and experience the world, making an effort and, not least, being part of many communities, is what gives me lots of energy and the experience of success and joy in life
