THE PERSON BEHIND THE PORTRAIT

In her own words

I come from a family where I was the first academic, from a family where love flowed more than money and where getting a long education and a career was not a matter of course. Today, I live a privileged life, work with what I am good at and love, am married to the man of my life and have the two most wonderful teenagers in the world, so everything is totally idyllic. However, I know that nothing comes by itself and I also remember the times that have not been idyllic – those are the ones that shape us and make us stronger. Right now, I smile every day and am grateful for what life has given me and all that I have gained from it.
