THE PERSON BEHIND THE PORTRAIT

In her own words

I was born and raised in China and came to Denmark when I was 22 years old. I settled in very quickly and feel so at home with the Danish language, forests and beaches, collaborative culture and freedom of speech. Even the long, dark and windy winter I feel safe in now, where there are candles, coziness, Christmas and the eternal changeability step by step towards spring, snowdrops, erantis, and anemones. I have a degree in computer science, specializing in software design and architecture. Today, I work as an independent consultant, helping my clients apply software solutions to solve complex problems and create innovative products. My passion is to create a space where different disciplines can collaborate on visual design, debate ideas in complete trust and confidence, develop a common language, and exercise synergy in solution design. I am a keynote speaker in international conferences on topics such as Domain-Driven Design, systems thinking and reflective conversations. Denmark is a society where I feel peace and quiet to be myself. The best concepts I’ve developed have come to me when I’m rested and feeling spacious in my head. My power comes not from doing, but from being. Being present in the moment, prioritizing exclusive family time, me-time, friendship time and time in nature. Away from my smartphone and social media so I can feel my own core. The power of the present moment is like an energy source. When I’m refueled and then do something, accomplish something, it’s with much better focus, energy and much more power.
