“Be that girl who wakes up with purpose and intent. Be that girl who shows up and NEVER gives up. Be that girl who believes anything is possible and is willing to work for it.”

I have an inner energy and positive approach to life, I am curious and this has taken me far and wide. I have had a goal to “make something of myself” since I was very young, but have been open to the opportunities that have come my way, which has taken me as a doctor to Afghanistan, across the US, where I also met my husband, and to where I work today. I’ve stuck my neck out and spoken my mind, it’s caused some bumps, but I believe that it’s better to regret something I’ve done than to regret something I didn’t get to do. I would rather be the one who stands up for someone than the one who stays silent. I’m a trailblazer and I’m motivated by seeing others develop and move forward personally. I think my upbringing has taught me to see and sense others, which I can use in my work today. For now, I have found my own best place professionally in a mix of clinical work as an orthopedic surgeon and manager. I believe that you can do whatever you want, you should at least try ;-)
